Happy Saturday loves, just dropping in to share an #OOTD. I have to first apologize for being a bit MIA. I’ve been working on a lot of exciting project and things that I can’t wait to share with you guys…very soon!!
Now, can we talk about this fit and the color trend thats taking over? Modern Mustard is the latest hot hue and as gloomier days are slowly arriving, it’s only fitting to contrast that by rocking a bright color like mustard yellow. The deeper shade of yellow is considered a less intimidating color to wear over its vibrant and sunny counterpart.
Every season mustard makes a comeback as we move into the colder months. This year, we are seeing the color on the runway worn from head-to-toe including accessories and shoes. The idea of wearing the color as a neutral may seem a bit overwhelming but when you break it up by wearing a variety of textures, the look becomes flattering.
I have to say, personally I’m in love with this color right now. The mustard hue looks great with my skin tone and I think mustard has an automatic warmth to it. A nice break from the usual white or black pieces I tend to buy. This yellowish green looks best on textured fabrics, like my blouse or a sweater, and if the color doesn’t suit your skin tone, opt for a striking belt, bag, or shoe.
All tied up and pretty, wearing this fabulous Leith wrap top from Nordstrom. Leith has some sleek, of-the-moment pieces with a downtown-girl edge for every occasion on your calendar and looks great with just about everything in your closet. Feminine pieces are designed with versatility in mind, so they can be mixed and matched to showcase personal style. I paired this amazing top very causally in my Grlfrnd Denim shorts (a summer favorite) and my Tony Bianco sneakers… Sporty yet chic!
