Gingham, Gingham, Gingham!
Recently gingham has become extremely popular! When you think of spring/summer you automatically think of prints like florals and stripes, they are there and will always be but the print that you got to be wearing this year is the Gingham! The truth is gingham print has been around forever and became trendy again in 2015, but this vintage, classic style has made an even stronger comeback this season with updated styles and cuts. We will, never replace floral and stripes, but this season we will definitely give the prints a run for its money.
The gingham trend for Spring is everywhere, however, that doesn’t mean you have to look like a picnic tablecloth. Designers and fast fashion stores alike are giving you this trend in various different styles and colors. Shirts, skirts, shorts, dresses, shoes, bags, crop tops, exaggerated sleeves, off the shoulder… you name it, they made it in Gingham.
The thing I love most about gingham print is how simple and easy it is to style. You can style your gingham with relatively any color, but I chose to go black and white with a pop of color on the lip. This gorgeous classic gingham, off-the-shoulder mini dress with exaggerated balloon sleeves by Lioness was enough of a statement. This vintage inspired mini dress is effortlessly cool and chic so you can tone down the add-ons.
I paired my look with this seasons most desired “it bag” by Cult Gaia because this bamboo wonder literally goes with everything. (I’m obsessed). This Cult Gaia bamboo handbag is a reproduction of a classic Japanese picnic bag. A classic show stopping piece that will remain timeless in your wardrobe…the perfect carry all this summer!
